Information you create
The app stores the names, photos, drawings, voice recordings, categories, settings, and quiz progress you choose to add. This information is used only to provide the app’s library and learning features.
Data collection and sharing
What Is It? Picture Dictionary does not require an account, display advertising, track you, sell personal information, or send your memories to the developer or third parties.
The app does not currently synchronize your memories between devices. If you enable Save Camera Photos in the app, copies saved to your Photos library are managed by Apple’s Photos app and may synchronize through iCloud Photos according to your device settings.
Device permissions
- Camera: Used only when you choose to photograph a memory.
- Photos: Used when you choose an existing image or ask the app to save a camera photo to your Photos library.
- Microphone: Used only when you choose to record a spoken name or quiz question.
You can change these permissions at any time in the Settings app on your device.
Deleting your data
Deleted memories and categories first move to Trash, where you can restore them or delete them permanently. Removing What Is It? Picture Dictionary from your device also removes its locally stored data, subject to any device backups you control.
Children’s privacy
The app does not knowingly collect or transmit personal information from children or adults. Parents and caregivers control the photos, names, and recordings they add to the app.
Changes to this policy
If the app’s data practices change, this policy and the policy displayed inside the app will be updated before those changes take effect.
